Suryakumar Yadav is a prominent Indian cricketer, known for his performance in domestic cricket for Mumbai and in the Indian Premier League (IPL) representing Mumbai Indians. Suryakumar made his first-class debut for Mumbai against Delhi on December 15, 2010, showcasing his potential with scores of 73 and 7. His cricket career took a significant turn when Kolkata Knight Riders bought him for ₹70 Lakhs in the 2014 IPL auctions.
On the personal front, Suryakumar married Devisha Shetty on July 7, 2016, after getting engaged on May 29, 2016. Their wedding was an intimate affair with close family and friends.
In the 2018 IPL auctions, he returned to Mumbai Indians for ₹3.2 crores and was later retained for ₹8 crores for the 2022 season. His international debut came on March 14, 2021, for India in a T20 match against England in Ahmedabad, where he made a memorable entrance by hitting a six on the first ball he faced in international cricket on March 18, 2021. This feat marked him as the first Indian cricketer to achieve such a milestone in T20 International. He scored an impressive 57 runs off 31 balls in that match.
