Mannara, born on 29 March 1991 in Ambala Cantonment, Haryana, originally went by the name Barbie Handa. She decided to adopt her mother’s maiden name when she entered the film industry. Mannara has a younger sister, Mitali Handa, who is a jewellery designer and the proprietor of BMB Jewels, specializing in Diamond, Kundan, Polki, and Gold Jewellery. Their mother, Kamini Chopra Handa, also has a flair for design as a jewellery designer, while their father, Raman Rai Handa, practices law at the Delhi High Court.
Mannara completed her education at Summer Fields School in Kailash Colony, New Delhi, and later pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Delhi. Before her entry into cinema, she worked as a model and starred in numerous television commercials. Some of her notable brand endorsements include Suzuki alongside Salman Khan, Dulux Paints with Farhan Akhtar, and Dabur Amla Hair Oil featuring alongside Priyanka Chopra.
