The World has many things which we can’t believe. Some of theme are the things which we can’t understand the reality. Every thing has got it’s own history in the same way every city has got it’s own history. These are some of the city which is claiming to be the oldest city in the World and people still living here.

1. Varanasi, India:

Varanasi also known as Benares, Banaras or Kashi is a city on the banks of the Ganges in the Uttar Pradesh state of North India, Which is considerd as spiritual capital of India. It was founded in 1700 BC. That’s why Mark Twain one of the famous American Author said “Benaras is older than history, older than tradition, older even than legend and looks twice as old as all of them put together.” It obvously make us feel proud.

2. Luxor, Egypt:

It is the city situated on eht bank of Nile River in Southern Egypt. It was situated in 3200 BC in Egypt. Now Today’s this city is surrounded by 2 huge monuments graceful Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple, a mile north.

3. Luoyang, China:

This city was established in 1900 BC. This city is widely recognized as the city where chinese civilization originated. The first Buddhist temple was also made in the same city.

4.Damascus, Syria:

This city was founded in 3rd millennium BC. It is also one of the most largest city of Syria, This city is commonly known as ash-Sham and nicknamed as the City of Jasmine.

5. Plovdiv, Bulgaria:

This City was founded in 4000 BC during Roman Empire, It is surrounded by 7 hills in southern Bulgaria.

6. Jericho, West Bank:

This city was founded in 8000 BC. It is located near Jordan River in West Bank. Currently this city is Governed by Fatah faction of the Palestinian National Authority.

7.Athens, Greece:

Athens is the capital city of Greece. This is the birthplace of Democracy. It is also the perfect place for art lover, cuisine lover and the person who always wants to know history of ancient time. The Acropolis Museum, along with the National Archaeological Museum, preserves sculptures, vases, jewelry and more from Ancient Greece are the symbol of Athens.

8. Jerusalem, Israel:

This city was founded in 2500 BC. It is situated in Middle Eastern City west of the Dead Sea. The city city is rich in it’s architecture and is a pilgrimage place and a major religious center of many Christians, Jewish and Muslims.
